About

Healthy Hands Cooking is a movement to fight childhood obesity by certifying and empowering instructors to teach children and families about nutrition and healthy cooking.

Our instructors are passionate moms, dads, teachers, nutrition grads, entrepreneurs, wellness advocates and more.

Healthy Hands Cooking is a 24/7, patent-pending cooking instructor certification program that is completed at your own pace, from the comfort of your home computer.

This 11 module course will lay a solid foundation for setting up your own cooking business including proper licensing, permits, background checks, food safety, marketing and more.

After certification, HHC Certified Instructors are invited to join our HHCIC membership area and our private instructor community for ongoing tools and support to help accelerate their success.

We are a movement to fight childhood obesity by certifying passionate adults to teach kids and families about nutrition and healthy cooking through fun classes, camps, and birthday parties.

With 24.5 million U.S. children currently overweight or obese, sadly, this is the first generation of children that is not expected to outlive their parents. But what if we could stop or even reverse this trend?

Learn how you can become a Healthy Hands Cooking Certified Instructor, and join our fight for a healthier nation of children.

Let Me Share My Story…

Hello, my name is Jan Pinnington, a busy, working mom of two amazing kids.

In 2012, I had the sudden and drastic realization that my kids were ill-equipped in the kitchen and falling into very poor eating habits.

Not only that, but with my certification in nutrition counseling, I came to realize we weren’t making the healthiest choices, often at the expense of convenience and lack of time.  Not my proudest “aha” moment for sure!!

I asked my daughter (age 11 at the time) if she would like to learn how to cook.  Her squeal of delight gave me my answer so every Tuesday afternoon, she would hop off the bus with a few of her friends who would come running to my house for cooking lessons.

The sessions began to take shape by incorporating kitchen safety, nutrition games, activities, and healthy recipe preparation into four, 2-hour sessions now called our “8-Hour Core Cooking Program”.

These sessions launched “Healthy Hands Cooking” which is an opportunity for other moms and dads to spend a few hours a week with their kids and kids’ friends to teach them the basics of nutrition and healthy cooking skills.  Not only that, but HHC instructors keep 100% of their instructor earnings with no royalty fees, franchise fees, or any other fees.

If you’re like me, and want to take control of your time, put your family’s needs first, and have fun earning a living that MATTERS, then I hope you will consider joining our amazing team of Healthy Hands Cooking Certified Instructors!

Yours in health,

P.S.  My first student had absolutely NO idea that mashed potatoes came from potatoes.  (He thought they only came from a box).  Can YOU see the need for HHC?
