VERY BERRY FUN CAKE
Makes: 1 serving
Time: 20 Minutes
- 1/10th Slice of pre-made angel food cake
- 6 Teaspoons Homemade whipped topping
- 1/4 Cup Each, fresh blueberries, strawberries, bananas, (or other berries or fruits)
- Sprinkles and/or mini chocolate chips
Tools for each child:
1 – 9 oz. clear plastic cup
2 plastic spoons
Using a plastic knife, cut cake slice into 1” cubes. Put a layer of cake on the bottom of the cup. Add a spoonful of whipped cream and then strawberries. Add another layer of cake cubes, whipped cream, and sliced banana. Add another layer of cake, whipped cream, and blueberries. Top with whipped cream. Sprinkle with colorful crushed candy garnish and/or mini chocolate chips.
Homemade Whipped Cream (serves 10)
32 oz. (1 quart) of heavy whipping cream
5-6 Tbsp. white organic sugar added slowly
1 tsp. pure vanilla extract
Using a hand mixer and stainless bowl, begin mixing cream, sugar, and vanilla on slow speed. As cream begins to thicken, increase speed to medium-high until soft peaks form. Whipping cream is ready when peaks form and hold their shape. Do not overbeat.
