MAPLE RICE CRISPY SQUARES

Easy, fast, and no bake treat!

Makes: 20 (40 samples) servings

Time: 20 Minutes plus refrigeration time

Ingredients

  •  Non stick spray
  • 1 1/2Cup Natural peanut butter, sun butter, almond butter or favorite nut butter (smooth)
  • 2/3Cup Organic Maple Syrup (or you can try honey or brown rice syrup)
  • 1Tablespoon Vanilla Extract
  • 5Cups Crisp Rice Cereal

Directions

Spray a 9 x 13 glass dish with cooking spray.

In a medium pot over low heat, stir peanut butter, maple syrup and vanilla until smooth.

Measure crispy rice cereal in a large bowl.

Pour peanut butter mixture over rice cereal and mix large spoon until evenly coated.

Place mixture in dish pressing firmly with the back of a wooden spoon.  (Spoon may be lightly moistened with water to prevent sticking).

Place a piece of waxed paper or parchment paper over mixture.  Use a glass bottom to press down mixture as firmly as possible.

Refrigerate for 30 minutes to set.

Cut into squares.
