Healthy Hands Cooking Partnership with Palmetto Health Children’s Hospital

community a series of children’s healthy cooking classes that educate kids and families on the power of whole food nutrition and healthier choices at home.

“This is very needed” states Jan Pinnington, Founder and CEO of Healthy Hands Cooking. “With the rise of obesity, related diseases, and nutrition deficits on the rise, we have a big mission to accomplish. With the help of Children’s Hospital, we can now collectively offer Healthy Hands Cooking nutrition education classes in a family-friendly facility for optimal wellness in the Columbia, SC area.”

Diane Bagnal-Moody, Administrative Director for Palmetto Children’s Hospital, agrees. “This is a perfect
combination of education with practical hands-on application. Not only do we have the benefit of
teaching how nutrition works in the body through these specialized classes, but can now teach practical
kitchen skills to children that can be turned into delicious tasting snacks and meals for themselves and
their families.”

The instruction for this series of specialty classes headed by local Healthy Hands Cooking Certified
Instructors. Classes run on various days and times. Class size is limited to 10 students per instructor and
