STOVE TOP CHOCOLATE PUDDING

Makes: 4 servings

Time: 20 Minutes

Ingredients

  • 1/2 Cup Unsweetened Cocoa Powder
  • 3/4 Cup Organic White Sugar
  • 1/4 Cup cornstarch
  • 1/2 Teaspoon Salt
  • 4 Cups Non-Fat Milk
  • 2 Teaspoons Vanilla Extract
  • Optional Toppings: Real whipped cream, coconut flakes, sliced bananas, fresh berries, chocolate shavings, or chopped nuts.

Directions

Place first 5 ingredients in a medium pot and whisk over medium heat.

Bring pudding to a light boil and allow to bubble for 2 minutes.

Remove from heat, stir in vanilla, and pour into single serving bowls.

Allow to completely cool.

Makes 4 servings.

*Note:  Try reducing the sugar in this recipe to help reduce the amount. Or consider half sugar plus a bit of Stevia powder to sweeten.  Or maybe just try Stevia to see if that will provide the flavor and consistency you expect.

Optional:

Once cooled, top with your favorite toppings such as real whipped cream, coconut flakes, sliced bananas, fresh berries, chocolate shavings, or chopped nuts.

*Dairy products can be substituted with plant-based alternative products.

Note* – Store-bought instant pudding has ingredients that are harmful to your health like Modified Food Starch, Cocoa Processed With Alkali, Disodium Phosphate, Natural and Artificial Flavor, Salt, Tetrasodium Pyrophosphate, Mono-and Diglycerides, Red 40, Yellow 5, Blue 1, Artificial Color, BHA (Preservative).
